Current WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder is predicting a win for his fellow American Jarrell Miller over Anthony Joshua ahead of their June 1st bout in New York.
“You know, I can see Miller winning,” the American told Blue Blood Sports TV, “I can see it going both ways.
Anthony Joshua (22-0,21KOs) is scheduled to defend his IBF, WBO, and IBO titles at the Madison Square Garden in New York on June 1st for his first outing outside the shores of United Kingdom and on an American soil against the tough talking American Jarrell Miller (23-0-1,20KOs).
“I can see Miller tiring him out. And if Miller can tire him out like Klitschko did, I can see Miller finishing him.” Wilder said. “I don’t know about knocking him out, but probably beating him on points. I can see a knockout too given the fact that it’s the heavyweight division, but Joshua’s very cautious, he’ll try to stay away from you. It’s a good fight, let the best man win.” Wilder expressed.
Even upon his optimism on Joshua’s defeat, the American is craving for a unification fight with the British heavyweight fighter.
“I want Joshua, of course I want to unify the belts. They know what we want, it’s easy, it’s easy to make that fight. They know what they want, but until they can swallow their pride like I did before, we’ve just gotta do what we gotta do.”
“I did it, you didn’t wanna go through with it, but I did it. Now it’s time for you to swallow your f***ing pride and give the world one of the best heavyweight fights. I’mma knock his ass out that’s for sure. I promise you.” Wilder stated.
Earlier, co-manager of the WBC heavyweight champion, Shelly Finkel said in an interview that Deontay Wilder would welcome an undisputed title fight with Anthony Joshua, if terms are acceptable.
