Samuel Antwi is now the champion after he toppled fellow Brit Darren Tetley in the sixth round to claim the vacant English welterweight title on Friday 19, February 2021 at the Bolton Whites Hotel (formerly De Vere Whites), Bolton, Lancashire, United Kingdom.

Nicknamed “True Sensation,” The Ghanaian decent took to his Instagram page to pay homage to fans and stakeholders.

“Thank you everyone for tuning in last night. Was a great experience boxing in the MTK global bubble live on the IFL, ESPN and BTSPORT. Special thanks to MTK London for putting on a banger of a show”

He now improves his career record to 13 victories with 1 defeat and with 6 of those victories coming by way of knockouts.

“The English belt gets me in the top ten (in the UK), I believe I am top two. This is my foot in the door. It is very busy this welterweight scene. I’ve got the ring rust out of the way, I am ready to go now.”
