Fighting in front of his own fans numbered a little morethan 12,500 at the Staples Center-USA, Miguel Angel Garcia Cortez better known as Mikey Garcia defeated IBF titlist Robert Easter Junior via a twelve round unanimous points decision.

But the unified champion must now fight Ghana’s finest Richard Commey, something he seems to be avoiding during his post fight interview by Showtime

“I’m here for the biggest challenges, I don’t know there’s anybody else with a bigger challenge than Errol Spence.

I know he’s up to fight anybody. That’s what I want. I think there’s a very high chance that can be made.” The champion rather calls-out the 147 pound Errol Spence.

Garcia must either vacate the IBF title or fight Richard Commey but it’s becoming pretty obvious and especially when Spence accepted his challenge on Showtime.

“He’s going to move up and try to dethrone me? It’s not going to happen.” Errol Spence replied.

Robert Easter Junior was to fight Richard Commey as his mandatory challenger but opted to unify the belts against Garcia rather than have a second bite at the cherry.

Many recalled how the Jamaican-American was controversially awarded a unanimous points decision victory over the Jamestown native.

For Now, the champion must fight his mandatory IBF challenger who is Richard Commey.

But sources are that he may vacate the the IBF title soon in order to fight Errol Spence.
