Ghana’s heavyweight hopeful Richard Harrison Lartey just floored his opponent, the Burkinabe, Boniface Kabouri in round two of their scheduled twelve round contest  via a second round TKO minutes ago at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra, Ghana.

‘Le Python’ as he is affectionately called  succumbed to the very strong and aggressive hands of Richard Harrison Lartey.

Kabore who came into the fight with 20 victories and twelve by way of KOs, with an astonishing five defeats now has six defeats.

In a one sided bout, the red hot  Richard Harrison never granted his foe the least chance to have a breather.

“I want to thank everybody for supporting me, my technical team who are behind me.” Harrison reiterated after the fight.

“Watch out more things from me because I want to fight the best, my ultimate aim is to win a world title for Ghana and fight with the very best.” Ghana’s heavyweight hopeful Richard Harrison Lartey stated confidently.

Emmanuel Martey on the night won by  a unanimous decision scoring  49-46, 49-46, 49-46 technical verdict after five rounds when his opponent on the night, Nigerian’s Sunday Ajuwa had to throw-in the towel.

Truth be told,  the fight was not a vintage Martey’s performance and he visited the canvas in the early minutes of the round.

The  now undefeated WBO Africa super middleweight champion Emmanuel Martey, with the benefit of hindsight must assess the fight and answer all the technically questions before his next bout.

Fourteenth victories, nine by way of Knockouts is really an impressive record. But this fight must come as a wake-up call.

Special mentions must be accorded the newest boxing promotional house, Cabic Promotions and Managment for such a grand event.

Indeed it was graced by high profile personalities including the former President, John Manama, under whose tenureship SNIIT built the trust Emporium, former ministers and current ministers as well as the Mayor of the capital, Accra.
