Gyatabi Is Ghana’s Next World Boxing Hope – Yoofi Boham
Mr. Yoofi Boham, technical adviser of Team Wasiru Mohammed has hinted that the next boxing prospect to hit the headlines in the world from Ghana would be his ward and undefeated rising star also known as ‘Gyatabi’.
According to Boham, an international boxing expert who guided other great boxers like Ike Quartey (Bazooka) and Alfred Kotey (Cobra), then the Boxing Whizz Kids, Ghana has good boxers, but it takes a lot to have a world champion.
He said Wasiru Mohammed who holds the WBO Global Super Bantamweight title belt, and highly rated in the contenders at number 7 for the main title is training steadily and gradually to hit the crown which is held by Mexican Emmanuel Navarrette who took it from Isaac Dogboe, another Ghanaian amazing boxer.
He revealed that the cub ‘Gyatabi’ is growing into a lion and he would be explosive in his next bout.
Boham is a long time member of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) and immediate past vice president of the Ghana Kickboxing Association (GBKA).
Meanwhile, Wasiru Mohammed has added his voice to the fight against the covid-19 pandemic, and warned his fans that the disease is real so they should abide by the health and safety regulations provided by the health authorities.
He also advised Ghanaians to wear nose and mouth masks to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.
