Letter from Moshi, Tanzania the land of Kilimanjaro and Mkomazi August 04th, 2019
“The IBF has granted formal sanction approval for the IBF Junior Lightweight Eliminator for # 1 between, Azinga Fuzile and Shavkat Rakhimov. The bout is scheduled to take place September 29, 2019 in East London, South Africa” wrote Carlos Ortiz jr. the IBF Chairman of the Championships Committee to Rumble Africa Boxing Promotion Two days ago.
This brings to fore the looming battle of the year, in the MECA of boxing, the East London as it is known to many boxing stakeholders. The event, is reminiscent to “the Rumble in the Jungle” that the KING of “rope-a-dope” Muhammad Ali against George Foreman in Zaire in 1974 that brought boxing a full circle as the sport of the continent.
Never, again has the sport given such a great reward by the world’s boxing “top-Dog” the IBF. Azinga emanating in the same turf where the first black South AfricaN boxer Welcome Ncita who made it #1 for Africa to garner the world’s most precious title of the IBF, would be in the league of his own. He is just too good to lose a sleep while preparing for the clash of his LIFE.
The boy is great and would come forth with the belt” said Welcome Ncita when he was asked by the author of this piece about the looking prostrated rumble. To make the matter sweeter, people of Duncan village where Azinga and the score of other boxers like Sive Nontshinga come from, have started to build, makeshifts to hold vigil for their beloved son, Azinga so that no omen can slow him down as he trains. Students are planning to made special songs for the seemingly larger than life Azinga as he emulate passion and excitement.
The news have created an earthquake like responses from the majority of Eastern Londoners who feel that the time to ride high for the like of Azingas is now. They cling on hopes that change for better life is now no matter the outcome.
“Rumble Africa Promotions is proud to announce that East London will be the host city for its Golden Boy’s elimination match on the 29th of September 2019
It is really humbling to us as Rumble Africa Promotions to achieve this right to stage this elimination bout and we urge all boxing lovers to come out and support our bright star who is now one step closer towards fighting for a fully fledged world title” said the communique issued by Rumble Africa this afternoon by the Group’s Operations Director Madame Nomfesane Nyatela also known as mama Winnie Mandela for her fight for underprivileged boxers.
“The promotion will also take the opportunity to showcase it’s other talent to the world by including other international bouts to be announced by end of next week. Boxing fans must prepare for a tournament of world class in their backyard” concluded Nyatela to the boxing stakeholders.
The news is too sweet to the ANC’s deep-pockets stalwart and IBF most active promoter of 2018 to Africa, Middle east & Persian Gulf Terris Ntutu a.k.a Muttu who own and manage Rumble Africa Boxing Promotions because he has invested heavily on the Golden Boy and seems to bear fruits now. Azinga is in the hands of South Africa’s top boxing trainer and MTK Global Africa’s Representative Colin Nathan is obviously the key to betting houses in this duel as it gathers winds.
They call it Africa! We call it Home!
