GBS led by Farrell on the 16th of January signed and sealed a deal for Ghana country representative with Michael Baron Quartey, a very canny and astute Ghanaian matchmaker with over a decade of experience in the sport. Among the very notable exploits of Michael Baron Quartey is when he worked with one of Africa’s biggest promotional syndicates KALAKODA Promotions to stage their world class fight nights in Ghana in October 2017 which discovered Mohammed “Gyatabi” Wasiru who is currently the WBO Global champion for the super bantamweight division and ranked 10th by the WBO.

“The main objective for signing this agreement with GBS is to help unearth talents, sign boxers with good prospects, guide them and put them on the world stage” Quartey explained. “Scott is a seasoned administrator in the sport and it will be a great experience to work with him as a country rep. I’m excited about this deal and it is a win for Ghana boxing.” Quartey added.

Mr Quartey reiterated the fact that Ghanaian boxers have in the past and present shown quality in the sport on the African region and the world at a large and therefore matching them with quality and securing good deals for them will be his priority in advancing their carrier and help develop the sport further in Ghana.

Mr. Quartey already says that he is in talks with some few good prospects already and shall invite the press for the signature ceremony soon.
