Ghana’s Maxwell Awuku will be challenging Italy’s Michael Magnesi, Boxingghana.com can exclusively report.
Details regarding the battle between Awuku and Maganesi are yet to be revealed.
However, per information gathered by Boxingghana.com, the fight will take place in Italy and Maganesi will be defending his WBC International Silver super featherweight strap against the Ghanaian.
The 24-year-old Italian has an unblemished record after 15 fights. He made his professional debut in 2015.
Magnesi’s last fight was on June 21, 2019, in which he destroyed Emanuel Lopez to retain his WBC belt.
For Awuku, he is an experienced boxer with 51 fights, he has won 46, losing 4 and drawing one. He has recorded 32 knockouts out of those wins.
His last fight was on March 8, 2019, against Mouibi Sarouna – he won via round TKO 3.
In 2018, Awuku failed in his bid to win the WBC World super featherweight belt when he was stopped in round 3 by the champion, Miguel Berchelt.
