Ghana’s Maxwell Awuku must see off Italian Michael Magnesi on Saturday 26, October 2019 at the Ragusa Off in Roma-Lazio, Italy for an opportunity to win the World Boxing Council International Silver Super Feather Title.

Awuku whose last championship showing was a defeat to Mexican Miguel Berchelt on February 2018 at the Oasis Arena in the latter’s native Cancun in Mexico has completely moved on from that unfortunate 3rd round debacle which happened mainly due to the ‘late call’ hence no proper fight preparations with some back to back victories over Abdul Malik Jabir and Mouibi Sarouna of Togo.

Speaking with the Chief Executive Officer of Box Office Sports Promotions, Alex Ntiamoah-Boakye on the subject, the top promoter was very confident in his boxer.

“I think Awuku is very ready for this fight, We’ve had enough time to prepare because we have been in the known for sometime now. In boxing anything is possible…You either win, lose or draw but i can tell you that we are very prepared for this fight.” He told Samuel Ofosuhene, on his show on HSTV dubbed Ultimate Sports.

The 36 year old  Ghanaian southpaw go into this battle with a record of 46 victories, 32 by way of KOs, 1 draw and 4 defeats against his much younger, fresher nemesis on the night in 24 year old Michael Magnesi from Italy.

Undefeated Magnesi with a record (15-0,7 KOs) is the current holder of the World Boxing Council International Silver Super Feather Title,  International Boxing Federation Mediterranean Super Feather Title as well the Italian national champion.

Experienced Awuku must throw good, measured and accurate punches with proper aim if he is to carry the day infront of a hostile home crowd.
