Ghana’s hottest undefeated prospect Jesse Manyo Plange (19-0-1, 15KOs), a silver medalist at the 7th All-Africa Games and former captain of the Black Bombers, is inching closer to securing the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Global super flyweight strap, when he host Tanzanian John Chuwa on the second edition of the Bukom Fist of Fury tourney, billed 31st of January, 2020 at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra, Ghana.
Dar-Es-Salaam born John Frenk Chuwa famed John Chuwa, with a record 18 victories, 10 coming by way of knockouts with 4 defeats, is coming back from a resounding victory over William Kianga after some back to back defeats in his attempt to secure the vacant World Boxing Council International Silver Light Fly Title, last May, against Englishman Ross Murray, but fell to a unanimous points decision defeat at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom.
31 year old Manyo Plange is however hoping to secure the world strap in his very industrious career only blighted by managerial debacles. Plange, in his last two fights, schooled IBO world champ Michael Dasmarinas in September 2018 in Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Singapore, to secure a controversial split drawn decision.
This fight is a co-main feature to Wasiru Mohammed versus John Amuzu, and promises a cliffhanger in the former’s first defense of his WBO Global title won last year against Loren Japhet via a brutal TKO.
The second edition of the annual national boxing league dubbed “Fist of Fury” which comprises juvenile and amateur leagues and a professional championship fight night is set to house these blockbuster match-ups come 31st of January 2020.
