Ghana’s Emmanuel Anim put up a spirited performance, but came up short of a victory against Lyndon Arthur last Saturday 12, October 2019 at the First Direct Arena, Leeds, Yorkshire, United Kingdom after succumbing to unanimous decision.
The card was put together by Queensberry Promotions – owned by Frank Warren, and at stake was the vacant Commonwealth (British Empire) Light Heavy Title, which the Ghanaian made a giant attempt but unfortunately fell short.
Undefeated ‘King Arthur’ now improves his records to 16 victories, 12 by way of KOs and yet to lose his zero. The Ghanaian nicknamed ‘Horse Power’ Anim (14-3-1,12 KOs) will be hoping for a second bite of the cherry after a very close encounter against his much younger 28 year old Manchester, Lancashire, United Kingdom born Lyndon Arthur.
When Boxing GhanaTV quizzed Emmanuel Anim after the bout, This was his responds;
“I don’t think he won that fight, and the decision from the judges were very poor. The worst should be draw.” He said. ” I have to sit with my team and decide.” Anim reiterated when quizzed on the way forward.
