Joshua Buatsi improved his record to (10-0, 8 KOs) when he secured a brutal round three stoppage of Liam Conroy at the Copper Box Arena late Saturday night and decided not to get carried away by the hype in his post fight comments :

“There’s still a long way to go but I’m grateful to everybody.”

Like a true champion, the Ghanaian born British pugilist showed class :

“Fair play to Conroy for stepping up and he caught me in there,” Buatsi said.

“There’s still a long way to go but I’m grateful to everybody. I have to thank Eddie [Hearn] as well, who has guided my career.” He expressed.

Brutal finishing instinct from Joshua Buatsi meant a 3rd round halt to hostilities in a fight that lived up to its billing in the initial rounds when Buatsi was only warming himself to the early exchanges.

Down goes Liam Conroy to the floor when Buatsi registered a sweet right hand plus a left uppercut.

Buatsi floored Conroy for the second time with a straight right hand and even though Liam Conroy made the count, the referee on the night had seen enough punishment as he was compelled to waved off for a Buatsi victory.
