GHANA YET TO WIN GOLD AT THE OLYMPIC GAMES SINCE 1952
Did you know that Ghana – despite its boxing and football prowess – has never won gold in the Olympic Games since their debut in 1952? Now you know.
They normally don’t like discussing it painful as it is for this great nation. Infact some diehard Ghanaians treat it as a bad dream.
They desperately need divine intervention to end this starvation in Paris.
After their 1952 debut when it was known by the colonial name of Gold Coast, Ghana has sent athletes to compete in most Summer Olympic Games since then, missing the 1956 Games, boycotting the 1976 Games in protest of the participation of New Zealand (who still had sporting links with apartheid South Africa), and joining the American-led boycott of the 1980 Summer Olympics.
