Ghana boxing promoters to set Jamestown alight in memory of Napoleon Tagoe

Fast Track Management and Promotions, GH Boss Link Promotions, Bukom Fist of Fury board supported by Michael Nii Yarboi Annan the CEO of Don’s Promotions and Ngleshie Atofotse popularly called Sadam, in memory of Coach Napoleon Tagoe have collaborated to bring to boxing fans a festival of championship boxing bouts set to go down tomorrow, Thursday, the 13th of June at the Mantse Agbona Palace in Jamestown, former British Accra.

44 year old trainer Napoleon Tagoe, the then former proprietor of the Willpower Boxing Gymnasium at JamesTown in Accra sadly passed on in the year 2017 after battling a short illness which was reported as a severe headache.

Popularly called Napo, the former boxer and trainer represented Ghana on several boxing championships since making his debut in 1993, winning the WBC Continental Americas Light Heavyweight champ before fighting for the WBC world cruiser-weight title.

After two years of his sudden demise, stakeholders in boxing have decided to honour it’s illustrious son with a boxing event billed for tomorrow. The bout which is leveraging on the defunct Bukom Fist of Furry boxing league will feature crack boxers in the likes of Felix Ajom, Faisal Abubakar, Dickson Jacob, Daniel Lartey, John Napari and Moses Nii Saban Quaye.

The rest are Delali Miledzi, John Amuzu, John Laryea, Michael Usunla and Rasul Dibirov from Russia. At stake are the PBC International Light-heavyweight title and WBA Pan Africa light-heavyweight belt.

First fight is at 6:00 pm, and patrons are endeavored to be seated early. It’s a festival of classic boxing, back to its roots at the Mantse Agbona Palace and a celebration of the late Napoleon Tagoe on the wings of Bukom Fist of Fury. Don’t miss out!
