Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) Wishes Isaac Dogboe Success

President of Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) George Lamptey says Isaac Dogboe was an Olympian and the GBF has been following his exploits since he turned professional and became a champion and knocked out his first three opponents. He said complacency was what made him lose as he thought no one could beat him and did not train to the maximum, but now the challenge is on Dogboe to go for the title and he can do it.
The GBF President asked all Ghanaian boxing fans and enthusiasts to pray for him to win against Emanuel Navarrete of Mexico.

The WBO world Bantamweight championship is ON Saturday May 11, 2019 in Arizona, USA.
Dogboe is coached by his dad and has a record of 20 wins with one defeat while Navarrete has 26 wins against one lose.

Both are very durable boxers,, but the difference is in height, so the GBF Technical Director says he must adopt a winning posture and go for the knock out when the opportunity comes. Both boxers have predicted knock out wins.
The GBF president also congratulated Jessie Lartey for winning the Sports Writers Association of SWAG Amateur Boxer of the year. He urged other amateur boxers to work hard to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
He said the sports writers of Ghana are doing very well with the awards which had been running for 44 years.
