Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) Shows Appreciation
The Ghana Amateur Boxing Federation GBF President, Mr. George Lamptey has sent commendation message to all who mourned with them at the funeral of the late John Commey aka Jaguar.
Mr. Lamptey said the young boxer who has passed on was a potential world beater and he was being groomed to become an Olympian and world champion.
He noted that Ghana has really lost a gem and that it will not be easy to find his replacement as he was going to lead the next generation of Black Bombers.
He also thanked the coaches who attended the funeral, but was shocked not to see the media.
He expressed that the media missed a lot of action displayed by the youth of Bukom who showed their love for John Commey.
He said the Black Bombers are training on a low key and soon they are going to intensify their training schedule.
He said the Black Bombers are determined to win medals at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Captain of the team, Suleman Tetteh and young Samuel Takyi have secured tickets to represent Ghana.
He commended coach Dr. Ofori Asare and his assistants Akai Nettey and Lartekwei Lartey for their commitment to amateur boxing.
He appealed to corporate Ghana to support their preparations towards the Olympic Games.
