GHANA BOXING FEDERATION 2022 PROGRAMME OF ACTIVITIES

The Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) under leadership of Mr. Ben Quartey through the National Sports Authority has drawn out the programme of activities it intends to carry out for the year 2022.

Below is the full list of events the Federation plans to organize

JANUARY

National Refresher Courses for Coaches and Referees – Accra

 

FEBRUARY

National Championship

 

MARCH

  1. National Championship

  2. Referees and Judges Course, Accra

  3. Special Cup – H.E. The President’s Cup

 

APRIL

  1. Non-Resident Camping – National Team

  2. Camping of National Team

  3. Regional Tournaments – All Regions

 

MAY

  1. National Games

  2. Women’s World Boxing Championship – Istanbul, Turkey (6th – 21st May, 2022)

 

JUNE

  1. Non Resident Camping

  2. Final Grooming of AIBA Course

  3. National Team Training Tour

 

JULY

  1. Training Tour Preparation for Birmingham Common Wealth Games

  2. Common Wealth Games -UK (28th July to 8th August, 2022)

 

AUGUST

  1. AIBA Referee Course-one (1) Star

  2. International Boxing Day

 

SEPTEMBER

  1. National Boxing League – Accra

  2. National Junior Championship – Accra

 

OCTOBER

National Boxing League – Accra

 

NOVEMBER

  1. National Boxing League – Accra

  2. National Junior Championship (Male and Female) – Accra

 

DECEMBER

  1. National Boxing league

  2. International Technical Official Course (ITO)

  3. Non Residential Camping for Junior Male and Female Teams

 

All stakeholders, including Amateur boxers, boxing gyms/clubs/foundations managers, coaches and trainers are therefore reminded to take note of the above programmes.
