Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) is lining up a comprehensive package for the year 2020 Bukom Fist of Fury boxing calendar, starting today the 7th of January at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The GBA have scheduled a General Meeting with Stakeholders of the boxing fraternity set to kick-start tomorrow afternoon at the Press Hall of the Accra Sports Stadium at exactly 1 o’clock in the afternoon.
January 9th and 10th is slated for the Technical Directory, who are to embark on a nationwide outreach programme aimed at equipping potential world beaters from the average.
The maiden Press Launch for the event is scheduled at the MJ Grand Hotel, East Legon in Accra-Ghana. Journalists are invited in order to ask questions and publicize the event. The well packed calendar has a Coaches refresher courses slated next week 16th and 17th of January, 2020.
There is going to be an Awards Night on Saturday the 18th of January 2020, followed by Amateur Ring Officials Seminar, Professional Ring Officials course and a meeting with Promoters and Managers.
The rest of the programme are Meeting with Media, Tuesday 28th January and Press conference on the 29th. The first Weigh-In for professional bout is penciled for Friday 30th, and headlining the bill is the current WBO Global Champ Wasiru Mohammed, who is set to make his first defense against John Amuzu from Benin.
Another undefeated prospect set for the highly packed bill is former national captain of the Black Bombers Jesse Manyo Plange who is set to share the ring with a yet to be known opponent.
The weigh-in for amateur bouts follows the day after, before finally the commencement of the Fist of Fury tournament and professional bout night on the 31st of January 2020 at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra Ghana.
