Gervonta Davis knocked out Rolando Romero in round number 6

One of boxing’s most electrifying knockout artists, Gervonta “Tank” Davis this morning secured a round 6 technical knockout over fellow undefeated rival Rolando Romero at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

This was arguably one of the American toughest career fights even though he secured the win via a KO. After a slow start , Gervonta Davis caught Rolando Romero with a counter left in the sixth round which the latter failed to recover in time before the referee called the fight off.

Romero fought  smart in the early rounds and was perhaps the much aggressive of the two as he commanded the ring generalship with both height and height advantages over the much diminutive  5 ft 5 Tank Davis.

But Gervonta Davis slowly warmed himself into the bout and created few openings as his southpaw stands was always a problem for Romero anytime he  negotiated an initiative of going forward.

By this all important victory, the American has garnered a total of 28 fights with  28 Wins  of which 26was
won by way of knockouts.

Davis is a multiple world champion in three weight classes, which includes Super featherweight, Lightweight and Light welterweight.

Saturday night’s main event of the night’s bill was put  together by  Showtime PPV.
