Ghana Boxing coaches and boxers are set to receive ‘Free Health Insurance’ under the leadership of the new Ghana Boxing Authority President, Mr. Abraham Kotei Neequaye.
Prior to the GBA election, Mr. Neequaye promised his tenure will be one of the best as his plans to ensure the Ghanaian boxing coaches and boxers are taken in high esteem as well as ensure they receive the needed support with regards to ensuring the national boxing teams are up to speed in their activities.
Mr. Neequaye in a conversation with Mr. Winfred Yaw Siegu, Secretary General of BoxinGhana.com disclosed that as part of his effort to ensure security and protection of boxers and coaches has liaised with the National Health Insurance Scheme to register all Ghana Boxing coaches and boxers.
With the earlier date and time delayed, Mr. Neequaye further disclosed the postponement is due to circumstances that are been taken care of to ensure the intended date is communicated to all stakeholders.
This stands out as one of the progressive initiatives in the right direction as it is going to safeguard all stakeholders as well as serve as a source of security at first aid.
With boxers and coaches excited about the yet to commence date for the registration onto the National Health Insurance Scheme, many have already started showering praises on the GBA president for the good thoughts he has exhibited in his office.
