A letter by the mandated body Ghana Boxing Authority sends a godwill message to Isaac Dogboe on his upcoming bout on Saturday against Japanese challenger Hidenori Otake
The Ghana Boxing Authority GBA) wishes World Boxing Organisation Super Bantamweight Champion Isaac Dogboe all the very best in the maiden defence of his title against the challenger Hidenori Otake of Japan scheduled for coming Saturday 25th August 2018in Glendale, Arizona , U.S.A.
The statement further reads;
“The GBA has been monitoring the Champion’s level of preparation and training schedule in the build up to this title defence and has no doubt about his capabilities to deal with whatever opposition the challenger might offer.”
The GBA further expressed outmost confidence in Dogboe to deliver.
“The GBA is confident that Isaac Dogboe will successfully retain his title and continue his forward march towards chalking many more successes in the ring including the eventual unification of the Super Bantamweight Titles in the WBO, WBC, WBA and IBF sanctioning bodies.”
The Boxing Authority took the opportunity to extend it’s wishes to both Frederick Lawson and George Ashie.
“In a related development the GBA also wishes WBC international Welterweight Champion Frederick Lawson and WBO Lightweight Champion George Ashie well in their weekend challenge contest in Toronto, Canada, and Glasgow, Scotland against Chris Van Heerden and Stephen Armond respectively.”
The Ghana Boxing Authority further admonished Frederick Lawson and Ashie to win their contest for a shot at the World strap.
“The GBA urges Frederick Lawson and George Ashie to win big and earn the right to challenge for World Titles in their weight division so as to restore Ghana’s place of pride amongst the top boxing nations of the world.” The statement ended.
