The Ghana Boxing Authority(GBA) has notified all licenced professional boxers, promoters and managers to furnish them with copies of signed promotional and boxer-manager contracts at all times.
In a statement signed by the President of boxing’s governing body in Ghana, Mr. Abraham Kotei Neequaye, the body cautioned promoters, managers and boxers who do not follow the latest directive, to be doing so at their own risk.
“The GBA wishes to notify a promoters, boxers and managers that henceforth, a copy of properly signed promotional and boxer-manager contracts must deposited at the GBA secretariat at all periods of times”, the statement read.
” Any promoter of manager who has signed a contract with a boxer and has not deposited a copy at the GBA secretariat dies so at his/her own risk. Be advised accordingly”, the statement warned.
The latest move by the GBA is in libe with the new administravtions quest to sanitise the sports on boxing in Ghana.
