The Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) is gradually taking shape after the elections of which Mr. Abraham Kotei Neequaye was elected as president.

After his NHIS enrollment for all pro boxers and coaches, Mr. Neequaye has started putting things in place through the appointment of Mr. Mohammed Anim Lamptey as the GBA’s new Communications Director.

In a letter dated 16th August, 2021 and signed by Mr. Abraham Kotei Neequaye, the president of the Ghana Boxing Authority, the GBA served Mr. Mohammed Anim Lamptey with an appointment letter which reads,

“The Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) presents its warms and sincere compliments and wishes to respectfully inform you that in compliance with article 4.11(vi) of the Authority’s constitution, the executive board has officially appointed you as it’s Director of Communication.

The board believes strongly that your rich experience and knowledge of the sport will no doubt manifest itself and be of immense benefit to professional boxing”

Mr. Mohammed Anim Lamptey after receiving notice of the appointment wrote on his social media handle,

“ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE:

This evening I received an appointment letter from Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) to accept an invitation to serve as the new DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS under the leadership of the newly elected President, Mr. Abraham Kotei Neequaye.

The response that followed this appointment rendered me speechless and flabagasted. Heartwarming messages to congratulate me kept me thinking about life and how people can appreciate and acknowledge your goodworth.

May the Lord continue to protect and guide us as we undertake yet again another journey in the world of fisticuffs.

BOXING IS THE NOBLE ART OF SELF DEFENSE

Best regards.”

With his knowledge and contribution to boxing over the years, Mr. Lamptey would be perfect for the job and instrumental in projecting the boxing as he has always done from his corner.
