Garcia vs Spence: Gradually Heating-Up for a possible showdown

Undefeated world champ Mikey Garcia is bullishly confident in his abilities ahead of a possible match-up between welterweight champion Errol Spence and himself.

“I can try to use speed, angles, footwork. There’s a lot of things I can use to overcome that height, that reach, the southpaw [stance], the strength, all that. I’m prepared to do what it takes to win that fight.” Mikey stated.

The pound for pound champion is very much aware of the threat that Errol Spence possesses but is not losing focus on that fact.

“He’s a terrific fighter. He’s an experienced fighter. He’s very strong. He’s a dangerous man.” The newest IBF lightweight Champ reiterated.

Admittedly this is one fight and possibly the only fight that Mikey Garcia is going in as the underdog.

“I don’t know if I can surprise him.”

Good thing is Garcia is equally aware of the kind of threat he commands in the eyes of his nemesis.

“He knows the kind of fighter I am. I think what will surprise him is how well I can do other things.” Confidently retorted Mikey Garcia.

Truth be told,  Mikey Garcia is arguably embarking on his biggest task yet after so much success in the business of pugilism, a fact he seems fully aware.

“I ain’t asking for no catch weight either.” Garcia said.

Errol spence on the other hand is relishing that possible match-up with so much anticipation

“Definitely I want that fight. I feel like that’s the best fight available for me right now with Shawn and Danny fighting in September. Thurman is still recovering and needs a tuneup. [Garcia is] daring to be great.

He wants to be great. He wants to move up and dethrone me, and it’s not going to happen.” The welterweight champion told Showtime.

Mikey Garcia is poised to defy all odds and even go against his father’s words in order to achieve greatness.

This match-up if made possible, would be something reserved for the boxing gods.
