Full List Of 2018 SWAG Award Winners
The 44th edition of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) awards ceremony was held on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC) with about 30 sports personalities and institutions taking home honours.
Thomas Teye Partey, Black Stars and Atletico Madrid midfielder was declared Sports Personality of the Year 2018.
He beat Black Stars former player, now with CAF Tony Baffoe and Former WBO Bantamweight Champion Isaac Dogbe to win the topmost award on the night.
The football star who has been playing well retained the men’s footballer of the year following his impressive stint with both club and country throughout the year 2018.
In the other categories, FIFA U-17 Girls Golden Shoe winner, Mukarama Abdulai won the women’s footballer of the year award with IBF World Champion Richard Commey taking home the boxer of the year award.

National Team of the Year – The Eagles (Rugby)
Prospect Of The Year – Hor Halutie
Hockey Player of Year (Female) – Mavis Boatemaa Berko
Hockey Player of the Year (Male) – Emmanuel Ankomah
Rugby Player of the Year (Female) – Rafatu Inusah
Presidential Award – Joe Lartey Snr (First President of SWAG)
