FREDERICK LAWSON SET TO FIGHT JUAN RUIZ ON MARCH 30

The classy and crafty fighter Frederick Lawson is sedulously preparing to have his day in the ring against Venezuelan Juan Ruiz come Saturday March 30 at the 2300 Arena, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.

The scheduled ten rounds contest will see Ghana’s special craftsman Lawson staking a claim against a fighter with 106 rounds of boxing in 26 bouts in Juan Jose Ruiz Prado (21-4, 13 KOs).

Nicknamed ‘the General,’ Frederick Lawson (27 -1, 21 KOs) possesses 26 bouts in 136 rounds of boxing
which translated in percentage ratio of 75 and was at the semi finals at the defunct Jose Sulaiman world invitational tournament staged in Canada.

The terrific Ghanaian recently joined the stables of Top Rank which is headed by the experienced Bob Arum and are co-promoters on the night together with Peltz Boxing Promotions, Inc. – J Russell Peltz.

Santa Teresa del Tui, Miranda born Juan Ruiz Alias ‘El Nino’ is a lanky cautious fighter who tentatively boxes from the outside.

He comes up against Ghana’s world title prospect, a fighter who has showed all the makings of a legitimate world title contender in Frederick “the General Okunka” Lawson.

With most fans itching to see the Ghanaian garner the matchup with his superb attention to details and hard punching power, 2019 is set to be a thrilling year in Ghana boxing.
