Freddy Kiwitt signs a year deal with Universum Box Promotions

Former WBO European welterweight champion Freddy ‘Pretty Boy’ Kiwitt has signed a 1 year contract with one of the biggest boxing promotional syndicate in Germany, Universum Box Promotions.

The Liberia born German revealed to BoxinGhana.com that the deal with Universum is a 1 year promotional contract with plans to extend it further if he gets a title shot

“It’s for a year but initially longer bc if I’m fighting for a title another year will be added onto it.” said Kiwitt.

This makes it clear that Freddy Kiwitt, 31, is poised to uplift his career again with clear evidence after winning his two recent fights against Octavian Gratii and a former WBA Interim Super light champion Johan Perez after he had lost via a unanimous decision to Luther Clay who was defending his WBO Global Welter title on the night.

This is not the first promotional deal Freddy Kiwitt (19-3, 10KOs) is signing. He’s been with Sauerland Promotion, fought on Goodwin Promotion, Haymaker, MTK and Matchroom Promotion.

Having joined the Universum family, Freddy Kiwitt disclosed to us that, he’ll be having his debut pro fight under Universum on the 20th of November this year with a yet to be confirmed opponent in an eight (8) round bout.

“Im fighting again November 20th for another 8 rounder. Will have a Christmas break after and will be looking for title fights next year again” Kiwitt disclosed.

With Freddy Kiwitt poised to climb the ranks in the welterweight division, all other welterweight prospects and title holders must be on the watch for the former European champion.
