Former World Heavyweight champion Ukrainian Wladmir Klitschko has rebuffed reports making rounds in the media of his possible comeback to the sport science of pugilism.
“I’m all about challenges in life and I do really feel that I still got it. Recently many of you contacted me willing to see me making a comeback to the ring this April and I’m thankful to you all for that. However, I need to call such speculation an early April fool’s day joke.” Wladimir Klitschko (64-5,53 KOs) insisted via a tweet.
This confirms that there is no truth to rumours which were being circulated that Klitschko will come out of retirement and fight Dillian Whyte in April which forced the British boxer to send a warning note to his former sparring partner
“I’d definitely fight Klitschko though, if he wants it, he can have it. And he won’t be coming back ever again after I’m done with him. That I can promise you.” Whyte stated in an interview.
The boxing legend Wladmir Klitschko instigated this whole charade when he hinted at a sensational return in a training video posted online, stating at the end of the footage..
“I can’t stop it, I don’t want to stop it. It’s the habit, and I love it.
Most media outlets construed that to be a comeback message but now that he himself has branded the news as “fake,” it closes the debate and speculations.
