Sarah Lotus Asare and her team has been championing the Girls Box tournament since it’s maiden edition a year ago. GIRLS BOX is an all female boxing tournament which started in the year 2021.
This year’s edition of the annual Female tournament dubbed GIRLS BOX 2022 is set to go down as a novelty in the annals of history as one of the finest best organized female boxing tourney with the help of the World Boxing Council (WBC).
As a statement of fact, the WBC Africa has offered to reward outstanding pugilists with it’s own branded medals.
Last year 2021, the maiden edition of Girls Box featured only boxers from the capital, Accra, but this year is set to include other fighters outside the region with the long term goal of inviting international boxers in years to come.
Experienced boxing promoters and administrators in the likes of Alex Ntiamoah are the few of the personalities spear heading.
Organizers of this year’s event according to Sarah Asare are counting on corporate Ghana to aid this year’s edition for a successful tournament.
