Felix Williams must go past Josh Wale come Friday 29, November 2019 at the Ponds Forge Arena, Sheffield, Yorkshire, United Kingdom in his first defense of his International Boxing Organization International Feather Title.
Under the wings of Michael Nii Yarboi Annan’s promotional hub Don’s Promotions, Felix Williams on 9th August, 2019 secured the then vacant IBO belt via a round 1 TKO victory over his Nigerian counterpart at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, Accra, Ghana.
The Ghana-based Nigerian boxer Williams, must now embark on his defense outside the shores of the continent against UK’s Josh Wale who is no stranger to fighting Africans.
Wale defeated Ghana’s Ayittey Mettle in the early stages of his career on May 17, 2008 via a TKO at the Platinum Suite, Bramall Lane Football Ground, Sheffield, Yorkshire in the UK. His most recent victim was Ekow Wilson whom he KOed in his last but one fight on Friday 5, July 2019 at the same venue.
The 31 year old self styled ‘The Outlaw’ Josh Wale will come face to face against a better opposition in Felix Williams, the current defending champion with a respectable record of 28 victories, 21 by way of KOs and a defeat compared to that of Josh Wale’s 29 victories with 11 losses and two draws.
“God is with me, I’m blessed and I will win the fight in Jesus name” Felix Williams told BoxingGhana.
