Exclusive: Richard Lartey versus Russian Abdul Kerim Edilov billed tomorrow Nov. 3

Come tomorrow Wednesday the 3rd day of November 2021 in Grozny, Russia, Ghana’s heavyweight boxer Richard Lartey (14-4,11 KOs) will mount the ring against his Russian opponent Abdul Kerim Edilov (3-0, 3KOs).

The bout is sanctioned by Russian Boxing Federation and is being promoted by Zaira Akkaeva’s Akhmat Promotions.

The ten rounds heavyweight contest will see the former World Boxing Organization (WBO) Africa champion Richard Lartey clash gloves with former Mixed Martial Arts star (MMA) Abdul Kerim Edilov.

Edilov made his pugilism debut in September 2019 against Brazilian Irineu Beato Costa Junior (19-11, 17KOs) in a four round contest which he comfortably secured victory via a technical knockout (TKO).

His second attempt saw him KOed Ghanaian Ibrahim Labaran (15-6, 13 KOs), a former vacant West African Boxing Union cruiserweight titlist last February 21, 2020.

The Russian’s penultimate fight was against a fellow Russian, 41 years old Denis Bakhtov (39-19, 26 KOs) whom he equally KOed to maintain a hundred percent KO record on his boxing curriculum vitae (CV).

Richard Lartey is hoping for a good show in order to relaunch his career back into the limelight and has promised nothing short of a victory come tomorrow night in the city of Grozny in Russia.
