Former International Boxing Organization (IBO)world champion Emmanuel “Game Boy” Tagoe has assured his fans of a strong comeback after his defeat to Ryan Garcia yesterday.
Tagoe, before the bout had bluffed of retiring from boxing should he lose to the American, assuring he’ll never lose against a boxer who’s just starting his professional career when he [Tagoe] was ranked number one in the world.
The Ghanaian on sunday morning was knocked down in the second round en route to a dominant unanimous decision defeat to Golden Boy’s protege Ryan Garcia at the Alamodome, in San Antonio, USA.
Many have been waiting to hear from the Jamestown native after his defeat yesterday as to his stance on his earlier assertion of a possible early retirement.
But in a tweet early this morning, Emmanuel Tagoe took the opportunity to thank all and sundry and affirmed his conviction for ‘strong’ comeback “Thank you all for the support , I will back stronger”
