Emmanuel “Game boy” Tagoe, steps up training for next fight, as he trains in USA.

WBO Global, IBF International and WBO Africa Champion Emmanuel Tagoe has enplaned to the Mecca of boxing to continue the next phase of his professional pugilism career.

BoxingGhana can confirm the self styled ‘Gameboy’ made the trip last week Monday, and as earlier reported by our portal, Tagoe’s first stop is South Florida where he is set to join the famous Centeno’s Sweatbox Boxing Gym, according to his co-manager Peter Kahn.

“His first stop will be South Florida where he will join the training camp at Centeno’s Sweatbox Boxing Gym.”

The witty Ghanaian fighter is gradually inching closer to a shot at the world strap and is currently rated 2nd on the WBO’s latest rankings after losing his number one spot to a certain Teofimo Lopez who is billed to fight his native Jamestownian, Richard Commey, billed Dec 14, 2019 at the Madison Square Garden, New York, New York, USA.

Tagoe, a former International Boxing Organisation (IBO) lightweight champion, who fights in a spit elements of the legendary Floyd Mayweather with his touch and go style is a typical boxer with superb jabbing ability, is a man on a mission to win another world title for his career and country.

Ghana’s Emmanuel ‘Game Boy’ Tagoe, last made his ring cameo on the undercard of Freddy Kiwitt’s history making bout after the ‘Pretty Boy’ became the first to win both African (ABU) and European (WBO) welterweight titles.

Tagoe registered a round 6 TKO over Ishmael Aryeetey on the night of Saturday 20, July 2019 at the Old Kingsway Building, Usher-Town, Accra, Ghana.

Emmanuel Tagoe’s relocation to the States is a first step in his unrelenting quest for another world strap.
