Eddie Hearn Hits Back at Lennox Lewis for Accusing his boxer Anthony Joshua of Ducking and Cherry Picking

Matchroom Sports managing director Eddie Hearn has hit back at former 3 time world heavyweight champion Lennox Claudius Lewis for accusing his boxer Anthony Joshua of ducking and cherry picking.

“Joshua is simply avoiding both Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury. He can afford to choose who he wants to fight.” Lennox Lewis stated in an interview.

Perhaps you must not believe everything you hear about Anthony Joshua cherry picking in the buildup to one of the most anticipated bouts between the two nemesis because Eddie Hearn took an exception by the comments of fellow countryman on his prized asset.

“Is it just because he’s bitter that he couldn’t sign him when he tried to? All the things that Lennox is telling us to do, we’ve already done them. ‘What about offer them this percentage deal?’ – done. You just think that it’s AJ not wanting the fight. Absolute bullsh*t.” Eddie irked.

“So it’s frustrating. Because you’ve got all these people saying AJ don’t want the fight, what more can we do? Made flat offers, percentage offers, double way rematch, fight in America, but they won’t even reply. If that don’t tell you what you need to know, I’m lost, baffled.” The visibly upset Eddie Hearn stated.

It is pretty unclear why team Wilder is now playing hardball to get and team Joshua now chasing the deal to happen.

But what is clear is the fact that any contract negotiations between the two won’t come cheap.
