Duke Micah Defends WBC Golden Belt Against Yoann Boyeaux On Saturday
All set for April 21st at the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn where Duke “the baby face terminator” Micah from Accra, Ghana.
By way of the Bronx, Nwe York will be headlining the Real Deal Promotions show against Yoan Boyeaux who is coming fresh off his world title challenge against WBO world champion Noaya Inoue of Japan.
Duke Micah has been tauted as the future of the 118 division, and he wants to beat all the rest to be the best..
Ghana’s Duke Micah (21-0, 18 KOs) will take on former World title contender Yoann Boyeaux (41-5, 26 KOs) from France this Saturday (April 21st).
The clash will be Micah’s second defense of his WBC international bantamweight and it will take place at the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, USA.
It will be Micah’s second fight in USA – his debut fight was in November 2017 when he defeated Mexico’s Jose Santos Gonzalez via majority decision to defend his WBC international bantamweight strap.
The Olympian at the 2012 Games in London, Micah first won the WBC belt in March 2017 when he stopped Mexico’s Jonathan Aguilar in round seven at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
Boyeaux’s last fight was a World title fight (WB0 World super flyweight) which he lost via TKO to Japanese’s Naoya Inoue. The defeat was Boyeaux’s first loss after four years.
Many Ghana boxing fans especially the Ghana Boxi ng Supporters Union (GBSU) are planning a vigil and prayer session to help Micah defend his belt.
Meanwhile, Jacob Zwenness, Manager of Micah who is based in the USA believes his ward is ready to defend his belt and take on the title holders in the other boxing bodies.
