Newly formed Don’s Promotions will be staging their first fight on December 26th at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
Two WBO Africa titles will be at stake on the aforementioned date and it will feature top boxers from Ghana, South Africa, and Uganda.
On the night, Ghana’s Obodai Sai will once again try his hands on the WBO Africa middleweight against France Ramabolu.
The last time the James Town native challenged for the belt, it went bad as he was stopped by Namibia’ Walter Kautodonkwa in round 5 at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
Robert Quaye coming from an impressive round 8 stoppage win over compatriot Kpapkpo Allotey will challenge for the interim WBO Africa super lightweight belt against yet to be named opponent from Uganda.
There will also be a rematch between Felix Ajom and Michael ‘One Bullet’ Ansah. The duo fought six months ago which ended in a controversial draw.
The man behind Don’s Promotions, Michael Yarboi Annan, in an interview boxingghana.com confirmed the upcoming bouts.
“Don’s Promotions is here to stay, December 26th, we are staging our first time and it will feature top boxers,” he said.
“There will be two WBO titles on the line. Obodai Sai will face Ramabolu while Robert Quaye will also battle for the interim WBO interim belt.”
The upcoming fights will officially be announced in a news conference in the upcoming days.
