Don’s Promotions is to establish the first boxing pay per view and online streaming television network across the continent and the world at large, named Arena TV.
Disclosing this novelty of a mega planned initiative was the Chief Executive Officer of Dons Promotions, Michael Nii Yarboi Annan, who spoke to BoxingGhana’s Samuel Ofosuhene in an interview.
“I am making a lot of investments in boxing, and at the end of the day, it is the people in the industry that are going to benefit. In about a month or two, we should be able to have our own TV platform. I am going to make the television platform available to all promotional outfits.”
When quizzed on the possible name for the television platform, he said:
“It is not going to carry the brand name Don’s TV, rather Arena TV, so that other promotional houses are able to make use of it. We need to get to that status like the Box Nations, DAZN and the ESPN. This is to help the industry grow so we are able to attract the big businesses.” He expressed.
Arena TV is going to be both per pay view and subscription video streaming service online. The service, we understand, is going to be dedicated to sports, but with 80% concentration on boxing, offering live and on-demand streaming of events.
The service is going to be available in Ghana, Africa and the world. Days when boxing fans and sports loving fans struggle to catch a glimpse of their stars when they are fighting outside Ghana or within Ghana are over with this newest addition to the Don’s stables, Arena TV.
