Nathan Decastro dominated the bout but partly because he kept unsettling his Ghanaian boxer Daniel Nii Adjei Sowah with his rabbit punches.

De Castro was not only hitting below the belt but also the back of the head of his Ghanaian counterpart with his ‘Rabbit Punch.’

” He (Nathan Decastro) was hitting below the belt and that made me uncomfortable.” Sowah.

The fight was a headline bout crowning a very successful BIBA Conference.

The new World Boxing Union (WBU) Super Middleweight Champion consistently kept hitting below the belt without any warning to Nathan Decastro from referee Lee Murtagh. At the end of the third round, Daniel Sowah decided he has had enough of that so he chose not to come out for the fourth round resulting in a 4th round TKO victory for Nathan De Castro.

Daniel Adjei Sowah retired in the fourth round with the scorecards by the three judges including Ghana’s current finest and Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) best referee, Roger Barnor and other astute judges like Charlie Cardona (Malta), and Stephen Smith (England) were all identical, 30-26 in favour of Decastro.

The attendance was great with some respected  personalities all over the continent and the world gracing the occasion.

The British & Irish Boxing Authority and the World Boxing Union must be commended for a fantastic showing and great organisation.
