Covid-19 Knocked Out Ghana Boxing – GBA President

Peter Zwennes, President of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) has revealed that Covid-19 gave them a knock out, and they are still in the cold and not yet found their feet.

Speaking to the media at the Bukom Boxing Arena, he said the coronavirus pandemic really hit Ghana Boxing and they did not know what to do than abide by the safety and health protocols instructed by the health authorities and the President, Nana Akufo Addo.

He hinted that the GBA met to find solutions and ways to come out to allow for training and bouts to be held.

According to Peter Zwennes, the GBA is not in a rush to sanction bouts as lives are precious, but they want the pandemic to cease so that they come out clean, and sure that they meet all the safety guidelines.

He assured boxing fans that soon all will be well, and bouts will be held.
