One of the most astute boxing coaches in African and the world Carl Lawrence Lokko has responded to news circulating in certain media portals of a split between himself and protege Richard Commey.
The news broke when Richard Commey made certain revelations at his presser.
Commey spoke highly of his new coach Rozier stating
“The change to Andre Rozier as my trainer was something I needed and wanted. I’m very happy to be working with one of the best trainers in the country and so far he’s helped me improve in many ways. Commey stated.
This statement was later reported as a split between himself and his protege.
But when boxingghana.com contacted Carl Lokko he responded by saying
“I am not officially aware of any split between us.
Hence I won’t comment any further.” Carl told boxingghana.com.
This purported split comes at a time when Richard Commey is preparing ahead of his fight with Alejandro Luna.
The fight happens to be the final eliminator for a chance to do a second battle against his old foe Robert Easter Junior.
