Newly elected Vice President of the United Boxing Coaches Association Mr. Lawrence Carl Lokko will meet boxing coaches and trainers as well as seconds in the Ashanti Region to discuss important issues affecting their trade in the region.
Coach Lokko who has been invited by the Manhyia Palace to present and introduce the new LBO Intercontinental Featherweight Champion, Stanley Nyantakyi aka the Ashanti Boxing Warrior said the Kumasi trip is so dear and important as the other regions are capable of producing good boxers and coaches.
“I’m so glad and proud of the pride of the Ashanti Region because he made the Bronx Gym also fulfilled, and we hope to produce more and more champions for Ghana” he stated.
After a trip to the Volta Region when he was not an executive of the Coaches Association, he has decided to spread the good news about boxing to other regions, towns and cities of Ghana.
He noted that Nyantakyi has proved that it is possible with the right guidance and commended Mr. Gordon Frimpong of Osibor Management and Promotions for his massive support.
Carl Lokko, who has congratulated the new President of the United Coaches Association, Mr. Charles Quartey expressed that the Black Bombers must be revamped with young aggressive boxers who can make Ghana proud, hence they will organize boxing matches all over to select the best boxers to represent the nation in the future.
He urged boxing coaches to task themselves with the duty of scouting best talented boxers.
