Saul Canelo Alvarez is ready to do battle with old foe and nemesis Gennady Golovkin come Saturday the 15th of September at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vagas.

After the two pugilists fought to a split controversial draw (113–115, 114–114, 118–110) as the scorecard read, the two pound for pound kings are set to go toe-to-toe against each other once more.

A second bite of the cherry for WBC and WBA champions Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez is a fight set for the gods as we Africans say.

Santos Saul Alvarez Barragan better known as Saul Alvarez has such a decorated fight history, with his solitary loss to Mayweather in 2013, Alvarez has an impressive 52 fights in all.

He has won 49 of these fights 34 by way of Knockouts and two split draws. The self established best counter puncher in his division is a very formidable opponent.

Nicknamed ‘the Triple G,’ Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin, the Kazakhstani born WBA champion of the world has 39 bouts, undefeated in all with an astonishing 34 victories by way of Knockouts which translates to 83 percent. He comes into this fight undefeated.

Golovkin is one of the most decorated pugilist in his division and currently holds the unified WBA (Super), WBC, and currently IBO middleweight strap.

The Mexican boxer Saul Alvarez is convinced of a victory if he pushes a little.

“Whatever it takes, I have to do something different in this fight to win convincingly.” Canelo told fighthub.

But Golovkin is perhaps a bit unhappy with Alvarez and his team.

“I don’t feel angry. I don’t feel respect for this team, not only for Canelo. He has scandal. You know, he’s still working with these people who bring this situation, for this scandal. This is very terrible for him. This is my point.” Golovkin quizzed why Alvarez was still with his scandalous team.

“And I feel very comfortable because I have my team. I respect my team. I respect my people. I respect the people who support me because this is a true guy. If you’re fake, of course you support Canelo. If you’re a real guy, you support me.” Golovkin stated.

The fight is set to go down as one of the most anticipated bout of all time in recent years and with Golovkin Cashing in on “hypocrite” Alvarez, it raises the stakes so high come next month the 20th.

A fight really set by the boxing gods if there is any….. Save the date.
