Even in his worse camping before a bout, Braimah Kamako alias Bukom Banku produced a top notch performance against his Nigerian counterpart Kabiru Towolawi at the Abetifi Center, Kwahu, in the Eastern region of Ghana.
Kabiru ‘Storm’ Towolawi was no match for Braimah Issah Kamoko as his power combinations unsettled the Nigerian, resulting in an eventual knockout. Bukom Banku has been away from the scene for almost eight months now, after his defeat to Bastie Samir in October 2017.
Braimah Kamoko made a huge comeback against John Dugu(5-12, 5KOs) via a 2nd round TKO in April of this year but has since gone into hybernation.
The Bukom born boxer was simply too much for the Nigerian Kabiru Towolawi. At stake, was an international Cruiserweight contest scheduled for ten rounds but Braimah Kamoko decided to end Kabiru’s misery in the third round when he finally knocked him out.
Banku’s record now stands as (31- 1-24KOs).
The event was put together by Kwahu Republic in their annual music and fun activity festival christened ‘Bliss on the Hill with Okay FM’s Godfred Asare (Old Soldier )as the ring announcer on the night.
Sports Writers Association of Ghana’s best referee Roger Barnor was the man in the centre of the ring.
The event is part of Azumah Nelson’s fight Night which is determined to take boxing to every facet of the country as part of the social responsibilities by the professor of boxing Azumah Nelson.
