Somewhere in the city of Accra- Ghana, Jamestown, ‘the mecca of Ghana boxing,, a star is being brewed by the finest chief brewer Carl Lawrence Lokko.

Lokko is a master of the art and hence the reason a talent from the UK with his Dad has come all the way to taste the sweet works of the champion brewer.

Oliver Duffy at Bronx Boxing Gym at Jamestown.

Ollie Duffy, yes Oliver Duffy is a talent to behold. He is just blossoming into his 17th birthday in a few months time and already the young teenager is poised for stardom in the ring.

He is quick, averagely tall, heavy-handed and a smart boxer who at his age is extremely conversant with his strength and weaknesses.

My name is Sammy ofosuhene and I am here at the Bronx Boxing Gym (BBG) with my colleague Dennis Kweku Moore – an expert boxing analyst and talent hunter and together we are going to unravel the exclusive details.

Oliver Duffy at Bronx Boxing Gym

This chap is such huge talent and his first entry into a Boxing Gym has received the expected ovation and approval from the current unified IBO,IBF,WBO World Heavyweight champion of the world–Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua, and is now under the able tutelage of one of Ghana’s very finest trainer and SWAG award winning ring instructor- Carl “the Lawrenceman” Lokko.

Anthony Joshua                                                                                        I decided to take pictures of him whilst he was in a training mood. As if that was not enough, I then decided to shift attention to his Dad -Scot Duffy, who was seated pensively watching his young son train. But for what ensued in our intimate discussions, just watch out for the profiling edition later on boxing Ghana.com.
The very astute Carl Lawrence Lokko (L)

I inched closer to Carl Lokko to ask for permission for a convo with Ollie Duffy. The young lad gladly obliged but insisted on just 2 minutes because he was still training.

The talented youngster Oliver Duffy

Before I could process my first question. …Duffy just belched “I want a fight with Azumah Nelson’s son.” Wow is he talking to me? I gazed at him in an utmost shock.”Yes he is talking to us” retorted my colleague Dennis Kweku Moore.

Lost for words, the two of us subjected ourselves to a state of a mini conference. ‘‘Lets make this happen” Mr.Moore whispered into my ears. But I was like “really is it possible”? “Of course” added the witty writer.

“Not a bad idea,” I equally thought to myself. We, at boxingghana.com, are going to make this bill a reality.

The dream fight between Azumah Nelson’s son and Ollie Duffy from the United Kingdom must happen!

Bring it on!! Zoom Zoom!!!
