BoxingGhana.Com can exclusively confirm that the next Azumah Nelson fight night initially scheduled for July 19, at the Trust Emporium in Accra, otherwise known as the Bukom Boxing Arena has been cancelled and a new date is set to be announced this week, according to the management of the promotional outfit led by Yaw Sakyi Afari.

The former three-time world champion, popularly dubbed ‘The Professor,’ Azumah Nelson whose prestigious boxing promotional event has come to stay, was set to host world class boxers on July 19, but for contractual challenges on the part of the boxers set to christened the bill. For this reason, the organizers have thought it wise to reschedule the date.

The new date for the prestigious Azumah Nelson Fight Night is set to be announced by the course of the week. The next fight night has international boxing personalities gracing the bill, including the new World Boxing Organisation European Welterweight Titlist Freddy Kiwitt.

The legend and hall of famer, Azumah Nelson, often described as the best boxer to come out of the African continent started this promotions to assist boxers in Ghana and Africa. The Fight Night is noted for attracting a lot of boxing fans to the Bukom Boxing Arena.

The new face of Azumah Nelson’s fight which is now being managed by one of Ghana’s finest young businessmen, Veteran Broadcaster and Sports Entrepreneur Yaw Sakyi Afari, has seen a new brand essence as far as the brand Azumah Nelson Fight Night is concerned.

The Azumah Nelson Fight Night dubbed ‘The Punch’ is supported by GeoDrill Ghana, Ashfoam and GOIL.
