Box Office Promotions Hailed For Putting Up ‘Rumble To Freedom’llll

Mr. Alex Ntiamoah Boakye, President of the Promoters Association of Ghana / CEO of Box Office Sports Promotions and his staff have been commended for the classic organization of the ‘Rumble To Freedom’ bill which came off at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Sunday March 6, 2022.

Yours Truly interviewed many boxing fans in and outside the venue, and every one hailed the splendid performance of the promoter from the publicity, branding, performance of boxers, security and media coverage.

Eze Destiny, a boxing fan and media practitioner said the programme was very exciting and she wished all promoters will learn from Box Office Promotions.

Solomon Manu, the acting Secretary General of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) said boxing is on the rise and promoters must work with the Authority to achieve their goals as there are many opportunities in sports.

Eben Adjei, a boxing coach said Ghana needs people like Alex Ntiamoah who can manage and make boxers, coaches and managers happy,

“It was a good promotion, we all know him, that he can work hard to make Ghana Boxing better, we need to support him” he expressed.

Coach Lartekwei Lartey said he loved the security which was adequate and effective. He congratulated the winners and urged the losers to go home and work harder.

Yarkor Chavez, a female boxer who performed on the bill said it was a great night as she saw many female boxing fans.

“I just want to apologise to my fans for my lose to Lolita. I am in good shape, but I didn’t trust the match maker, so I wanted to be paid before climbing the ring” she said.

Mustapha Nettey, a ring announcer and executive member of the Ghana Boxing Federation (GBA) praised the fans who came in their numbers to the weigh in, press conference and fight. He noted that Ghana Boxing can be great, bigger and better. “ Box Office has done it many times with big fights, so am not surprised, they did Banku versus Bastie and others so I can just say congrats to Alex and his people” he stressed.

Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) President, Mr. Abraham Neequaye said he is bringing a new life into Ghana boxing, He also thanked the boxing fans who graced the show.
