The Greater Accra Boxing Association within the past days have set the record straight with back-to-back events geared at the youth and alleviating the constant increase in vices recorded in our societies.

With the ‘Novice Boxing’ set to introduce persons with love for boxing to get the opportunity to enter the sport, GABA has again launched another event which is targeted at the juvenile. In as much as many would ask questions about their reasons for targeting the youth, it is understandable that their aim is to ensure the youth get a fair understanding of events about life and education to make the right decisions which will positively impact their future.

GABA in collaboration with 24 Phrames and Picture and Inspiring Young Achievers Network Africa (IYAN) formerly Inspiring Young Achievement (INSPYA) Ghana which is a charitable organization that seeks to change, nurture and transform the youth of Africa with relevant support and empowerment to achieve their SMART goals has planned a juvenile tournament targeted at transforming the lives of the youth.

IYAN Africa has constantly achieved their targeted goals for the youth through platforms such as mentoring programs, provision of educational materials and infrastructure, self-development workshops and networking opportunities, therefore partnering with the Greater Accra Boxing Association to ensure the youth get a taste of motivation through sports was never too far from awesome.

With the aim of the event not only to engage participants on boxing only, but there will also be a special feature that will take the participants through a short workshop on public speaking.

Mr. Stanley Toddison, a writer, Poet and MC has promised to grace this occasion to take the boxer through this exercise as it will go along way to increase the confidence of the youth when called upon to speak in public.

IYAN Africa during the event will have the time to talk to the boxers about their core mandate and the importance of adding education to the sport as it will go a long way to ensure young sportsmen and women are not pushovers.

The Administrator and Assistant Organizer of GABA, Miss Sarah Lotus Asare urged all and sundry to be present to support the initiative as they are driving at involving the youth in boxing with educational packages which can help shape a better future for the youth.
