Mardochee Kuvesa Katembo of the Democratic Republic Of Congo has made his intentions clear ahead of the make or break encounter with Ghanaian and current World Boxing Organisation Africa Middleweight Titlist Obodai Sai ahead of the August 9 ‘Battle for Supremacy’ christened at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, Accra.

“Obodai, We say we go do to you. We want to be the champions that is why we are working hard. You must love what you are doing. We are going to be champions” The Kinshasa born athlete and his team warned in a video message.

Ghana’s WBO middleweight champion Obodai Sai must get past a boxer who is yet to register a single knockout in his close to a decade professional career.

Katembo possesses 110 rounds of professional boxing in 15 bouts. Out of the 15, the Congolese has managed to win 13 with two defeats and not a single registered knockout.

But the 25 year old is 7 years younger than the self styled ‘Miracle Man’ Sai. With a height of 5′ 9½″   /   177cm, Ketambu’s last fight was against South Africa’s France Ramabolu whom he decisioned over twelve rounds at Turfontein Race Course, Johannesburg, Gauteng in South Africa on 1st, June 2019.

Coincidentally the very boxer the Ghanaian hard puncher last fought in the maiden edition of Don’s Promotional entry in December 26, 2018.

Obodai Sai is a very experienced boxer with some incredible statistics. Like the adage goes, ‘numbers don’t lie.’ With his 38 bouts in 209 professional pugilism action culminating 35 victories, 26 by way of KOs with three defeats. Obodai is one of the most gifted boxers in the world.

The Jamestown native is a very experienced fighter who has fought more-than twice his opponent, Katembo, and has a KO percentage ratio of 68 against Katembo’s 0%.

But the DRC man, just like Obodai, is an exceptional jabber and occasionally strings combos.

Katembu may have fired the first shot at the champion but then again we know Obodai is not a big trash talker.
