ALLOTEY’S WIN IS ON A THIN THREAD: NO TRAINER SYNDROME A FACTOR:

Story: Dennis Moore
Snr boxing writer

I had a nonchalant urge to come up with a write up on this particular battle between Patrick ALLOTEY and tough Mexican, Jaime Munguia in the USA but certain habitual factors have derailed those thoughts ahead of this cliff hanger.

My earlier interaction with the gifted Ghanaian pugilist on the “ultimate Sports”-HSTV, was a positive gesture. He sounded very confident in the corridors of his mind.

My predictive pendulum tilted on the scales to the left ostensibly due to pre fight managerial ineptitude demonstrated by his management ahead of tonights fight.

A few questions boxing Ghana would want to know:

I. Who trained him ahead of this particular fight?

II. Why was he not in the USA with him?

III. How are his own management coping with this situation?

Anyway, I do recall some few weeks ago a Ghanaian heavyweight boxer also fought in the UK without a trainer. The prediction of the fight was already known.

Allotey has already quoted on Ghanaweb that the absence of his trainer will affect him. Do we know the implications of this statement?

What is the GBA doing to curb such engagements that seek to damage the qualitative progress of the sport?

PREDICTION:
From the library of Allotey, his presence in the ring has tremendous passes. After the Dodzi fight,he had two successive defenses and that shot him closer to Munguia.

The Mexican plans to move up in weight to the middleweight division after this fight. Too sure of winning….right?

His last fight against Hogan wasn’t all that impressive but the previous outing against Japanese struggler Inoue Takashi was beyond description.

Boxingghana can tactically predict that only a knockout will save the Ghanaian.

Allotey is psychologically affected by his corner. But who caused this?

If the Ghanaian fails to visit the canvas beyond the eight round , then he will record a respectable
bow to the Mexican with a uninamous decision. Its clear.
