Ghana Boxing has recently been on the rise as many have regained love for boxing following the heroics of the Ghanaian trio who represented Ghana at the Tokyo Olympic games winning a bronze medal to break the long wait for an Olympic medal in the books of Ghana.

Box Office Sports Promotions presents ‘GH Fight Night’, another vacant title bout between Ghana’s own Alfred Lamptey and Iddi Kayumba of Tanzania. They duo will be competing for the WBO Youth World/ WBC Youth World Silver Super Featherweight Championship.

19 years old Alfred Lamptey of Ghana has a prefect record coming into this bout after his debut on the 20th of July 2019 recording a TKO against Amadu Saidu at the Old Kingsway Building, Ussher-Town, Accra. This became his stepping stone as the promising youngster continued in his fine form recording five (5) wins by way of TKO, two (2) by way of Unanimous decision and one KO.

Alfred Lamptey has battled it out and won against Isaac Nettey, David Kotey, Emmanuel Otoo, Joshua Barnor, Raymond Commey, Edward Kambasa and George Krampah all in Ghana.

His challenger for the night also fighting for the WBO Youth World/ WBC Youth World Silver Super Featherweight Championship has made some impressive run in his youth career.

Iddi Kayumba of Tanzania who made his pro debut on the 31st August, 2014 has promised to make the title bout very difficult for Alfred Lamptey following his interesting records.

Iddi Kayumba has a record of 19 bouts as a pro and has lost three times, two by way of TKO and one KO. His experience fighting Prince Petal and Josh Wale on 24th August 2019 and 21st February 2020 respectively gives him a little urge but does not take anything away from Alfred Lamptey who has shown determination through this training and mentality.

The WBO Youth World/ WBC Youth World Silver Super Featherweight Championship is scheduled for 4th of September, 2021 at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra with teasers from upcoming boxers promised.
